Carlos Cerquera is a coffee farmer and producer who sought to look beyond traditional cultivation, driven by his desire to unlock the full potential of the coffee plant. This passion led him to delve into sensory analysis, which inspired him to become a professional cupper. Through perseverance and dedication, Carlos earned his Q Grader certification, further strengthening his expertise. In 2019, he won the National Coffee Cupping Championship and represented Colombia at the World Cup Tasters Championship in Milan in 2020. He has served as a national judge for the prestigious Cup of Excellence seven times and as an international judge three times. Passionate about specialty coffee, Carlos expertly markets coffee from his own farm and from fellow producers, focusing on exotic varieties and innovative processes with traditional cultivars.
